Sicily's Wine Renaissance
Sicily's climate, sun, and rocky soil is very similar to the wine growing region of Napa Valley. Thanks to the new generation of vintners the island is a connoisseurs choice for moderately priced wines (up to $60) that are very drinkable. More modern techniques in vinticulture and wine making, coupled with the unique blending of local Sicilian grape varities and international ones, has spawned a new industry. Chey Katy is exploring the lovely traditional foods and robin is paring this exciting wine renaissance.
