Centered perfectly in town, the Nagle Warren Mansion is just a short jaunt to most of the town's greatest treasures. Historic Downtown, the Rainsford Historic District, and Lakeview Historic Cemetery walking tours are all close by, so you can walk as long or as far as you wish.
Take our self-guided walking tour of the historic downtown area. Our tour shows off some of the town's best architecture and includes stories about Cheyenne's early residents.
Rainsford Historic District
Venture east along 17th Street to Holiday Park where Big Boy, the largest steam locomotive ever built, is located. Return through the residential streets of the Rainsford Historic District with homes built during the 1870s and 1880s. The term "Cattle Barrons' Row" refers to 17th Street where many European Landed Gentry built their homes and over saw their immense ranches in the surrounding area.
For a real trip into the past, visit Lakeview Cemetery where you'll find the "who's who" of the old west and our early pioneers. The self guided tour is quite informative and points out the most interesting features.
For the Runner
If you want to step up the pace, go for a run. The staff at the Nagle Warren will map out a running route for as many miles as you would like to travel. Cheyenne's altitude is 6,000 feet, so we suggest that you shorten your normal run. Off weather, enjoy our exercise Facility.
So come stretch your legs (and muscles) at the Nagle Warren Mansion.
