Ribbon Cutting Ceremony ---Historic Mansion Accommodates Individuals with Disabilities

With a new wheelchair lift and renovation of the carriage house, the historic Nagle Warren Mansion Bed and Breakfast is now accessible to all people with disabilities.

Accessibility is a concern for many travelers, as well as members of the local community.  The new lift provides access to the ouxurious settings of the mansion from the dining room, library, sitting room and parlor in the main house.  The guestroom named for Marie Pershing, Black Jack Pershing's daughter, has been renovated to meet the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The carriage house at the mansion has served the Cheyenne community for over 53 years in many capacities from YWCA playhouse to a meeting place for local churches and organizations.

The opening of these new accommodations will be commemorated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.  Woody Absher, the Program Director for the Governor's Committee on Employment for People with Disabilities will officially open the new accommodations.  The ceremony will take place on Monday, June 14th at 222 E. 17th at 2:00 p.m.  Contact the Governor's Planning Council on Disabilities, Brenda Oswald at 777-7230 or the Nagle Warren Mansion B&B at 637-3333.
